Durham Region Health Department is expanding eligibility for COVID-19 vaccine to area residents 60 and older, or those who will be turning 60 in 2021. Eligibility for vaccine now includes all residents 75 and older.

Durham Region Health Department is announcing that COVID-19 vaccination clinics in Ajax and communities in north Durham will be opening within the next two weeks:
The Ajax clinic
  • is located at Audley Recreation Centre, 1955 Audley Road North, Ajax
  • opens on March 24
  • residents 75 years and older, or who will be turning 75 this year, can begin booking appointments on March 22 at 11 a.m.

Durham Region Health Department is announcing that the COVID-19 vaccination clinic located at the McKinney Centre, 222 McKinney Drive, Whitby, will begin operating on March 15. Stormwater Ponds are Unsafe for Recreational Use

The Township of Uxbridge advises residents that Storm Water management ponds are not safe for recreational use.

Storm water ponds collect run-off from surface water and from storm sewers. The fluctuating temperatures and presence of road salts can create thin or unstable ice and potentially hazardous conditions. Water levels in these ponds can change rapidly.
